Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

⚾️ Yankees ⚾️

First of all I just wanna give myself a shoutout ‘cause I managed to have 20 posts!!!!

I never thought I’d get here honestly ‘cause writing daily on here gets tough at times (even though compared to other bloggers I barely write)

Now I’ll digress and talk about the Yankees, or my favorite baseball team. ⚾️

In honor of their 5-0 win against the Houston Astros, here are 5 things I learned about the Yankees today.

1. The Yankees have won more championships than any other professional team in the US (27) 🏆🏆🏆

2. For one season only, they played as the Baltimore Orioles. After their move to Washington Heights they were actually called the New York Highlanders (but that all changed when they moved to the Bronx thank God) &  now we all know them as the New York Yankees.

3. They were the first team to use permanently numbered uniforms (which was back in 1929) and then the rest of the teams adopted this. 9️⃣9️⃣   2️⃣4️⃣   4️⃣2️⃣   1️⃣3️⃣

4. Many people believe the old Yankee Stadium was haunted by Yankee legends (I always grew up to believe this since I live two blocks away from it) and some players have even mentioned seeing some odd things happening at the demolished stadium back when it was still standing. 👀👻

5. Aaron Judge is a very valuable player at just 25 (as well as handsome & a Christian so shoutout to Jesus) 😍

Bonus: Some of my favorite players include (but are not limited to) Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia, Mariano Rivera, Robinson Cano, Hideki Matsui, Joe DiMaggio, CC Sabathia, and Aaron Judge.

Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

10 Things I Dislike

Note: These aren’t in any specific order

1. Heights (I can’t even be lifted off the ground ‘cause I’ll really lose it)

2. Most of nature’s creatures 🦇🦋🐝🐞 (bugs especially)

3. The country life 🌲 (I can do a weekend but not a month or my entire life)

4. Spelling Errors their, there, they’re (Biggest pet peeve really)

5. Being told what to do 🗣 (I take suggestions well)

6. Not knowing what to do 🤔 (I tend to get indecisive at times)

7. Not going on vacation 🏊🏻‍♀️🌴👙(I have to take atleast two a year)

8. American Football 🏈 (I don’t understand the sport but I’ll still take a knee though)

9. Mismatching socks (I can mismatch anything else but never my socks)

10. Being woken up (If you know me you know I enjoy my sleep too damn much)

BTW: I chose to say ‘dislike’ instead of ‘hate’ or ‘abhor’ because the latter words are too strong a feeling for the 10 things I described and I believe I can one day grow to like some of them.

Today I’ll briefly mention:

New York Fashion Week 2017

This year’s New York Fashion Week took place from September 7-13.

I personally decided to honor the 16th year anniversary of the September 11 attacks by not dressing up or attending any fashion event that day.

The rest of my week was spent working, dressing up, attending Jeanette Limas’ Spring 2018 Fashion Show, attending a birthday celebration and hosting Sunday Funday.

Here’s my day by day outfits for fashion week this year.

Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

Being/Becoming Active

I’ve never been the most active in life but I do enjoy working out from time to time (I’m trying to make it a habit slowly but surely)

I recently started interning at an interior design firm so for the most part I’m always sitting down.

At first I thought this was the life! After all my years of slaving for retail and working constantly on my feet I was dumb hype.

But now that I work at an office I realize that being active is very important.

First off, being active gets the blood flowing!

Next, being active even gives you more energy. I go to the gym (although not religiously but I do try to get it in) and I always find myself with more energy after my workout than before it.

Last, but not least, being active makes you look and feel good!!! (I always feel like a million after a couple squats)

So why not start today?

Jam to your favorite artists and throw on your waist trainer real quick and get it in!

You don’t even have to go hard the first day, ’cause you can slowly work your way there so just do it (like Nike)

BTW: After work I’m definitely gonna hit the gym for a leg day session (leg days are the best days)

Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

MY UNDERGRAD GRAD PARTY

As some of y’all may know I recently graduated college with a Bachelor’s in Architectural Technology (which was hard as f*** but not impossible)

In honor of the fact that I’m attending a friend’s college grad party today (shoutout to Caitlyn ’cause she did that!) and that I’m basically the last one of my siblings that was left to graduate (since two of my brother’s had already graduated and I couldn’t be the one to disappoint) my family threw me a surprise Graduation Party!

I don’t know HOW they did it, but absolutely everyone I care about was there and no one said a word about it (in order for the surprise not to be ruined) so I was super flabbergasted.

First, Silvany tricked me into spending the entire day with her (which I was happy to do since we agreed to go on a Paint & Wine Night even though it was hella early like 3 PM)

While we’re there, Natasha appears out of nowhere all the way from Albany to the city just for lil old me how cute (I will get her back for that cause I almost thought I had drank too much)

After we we’re done with our paintings we went to Silvany’s house (and Nadiana later joined us) to continue to drink wine and have a fun night (or so I thought, but really they were all just stalling while everyone got things ready for the event back home)

When I finally made it home, I was greeted by a bunch of people who’d witnessed the struggle that college was for me and I’m not gonna lie I teared a lil bit (I’m lying I cried my a** off)

BTW: Special shoutouts to my mom, my sister-in-law Stephanie and my bestfriend Natasha for going out their way and throwing me this lavish poppin’ a** party! I didn’t see it coming but I absolutely enjoyed it and it wouldn’t have been the same without y’all!

Here are a couple pictures from that epic night…
