Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

Being/Becoming Active

I’ve never been the most active in life but I do enjoy working out from time to time (I’m trying to make it a habit slowly but surely)

I recently started interning at an interior design firm so for the most part I’m always sitting down.

At first I thought this was the life! After all my years of slaving for retail and working constantly on my feet I was dumb hype.

But now that I work at an office I realize that being active is very important.

First off, being active gets the blood flowing!

Next, being active even gives you more energy. I go to the gym (although not religiously but I do try to get it in) and I always find myself with more energy after my workout than before it.

Last, but not least, being active makes you look and feel good!!! (I always feel like a million after a couple squats)

So why not start today?

Jam to your favorite artists and throw on your waist trainer real quick and get it in!

You don’t even have to go hard the first day, ’cause you can slowly work your way there so just do it (like Nike)

BTW: After work I’m definitely gonna hit the gym for a leg day session (leg days are the best days)

Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

MY UNDERGRAD GRAD PARTY

As some of y’all may know I recently graduated college with a Bachelor’s in Architectural Technology (which was hard as f*** but not impossible)

In honor of the fact that I’m attending a friend’s college grad party today (shoutout to Caitlyn ’cause she did that!) and that I’m basically the last one of my siblings that was left to graduate (since two of my brother’s had already graduated and I couldn’t be the one to disappoint) my family threw me a surprise Graduation Party!

I don’t know HOW they did it, but absolutely everyone I care about was there and no one said a word about it (in order for the surprise not to be ruined) so I was super flabbergasted.

First, Silvany tricked me into spending the entire day with her (which I was happy to do since we agreed to go on a Paint & Wine Night even though it was hella early like 3 PM)

While we’re there, Natasha appears out of nowhere all the way from Albany to the city just for lil old me how cute (I will get her back for that cause I almost thought I had drank too much)

After we we’re done with our paintings we went to Silvany’s house (and Nadiana later joined us) to continue to drink wine and have a fun night (or so I thought, but really they were all just stalling while everyone got things ready for the event back home)

When I finally made it home, I was greeted by a bunch of people who’d witnessed the struggle that college was for me and I’m not gonna lie I teared a lil bit (I’m lying I cried my a** off)

BTW: Special shoutouts to my mom, my sister-in-law Stephanie and my bestfriend Natasha for going out their way and throwing me this lavish poppin’ a** party! I didn’t see it coming but I absolutely enjoyed it and it wouldn’t have been the same without y’all!

Here are a couple pictures from that epic night…

Hey y’all

Today I’ll briefly mention:

Waist Trainers

Blog #1

I’m usually not one to wear waist trainers but you can never say never. I bought one (and later had to get another one cause I got the size wrong in the first order) a few months back and only wore it once.

I wanted to wear it more often but life would always get in the way. However, today I decided I had waited long enough so I put it on, turned my music up and started to clean my room (on some Dominican s***). At first it feels like you’re getting everything squeezed out of you, but then you get used to it.

What a workout! I normally sweat a lot but with this waist trainer… my sweat was never ending (which is great cause the more I sweat the more weight I’ll lose)

After I removed it though, I felt such a relief!

The relief probably came from the fact that I am now comfortably sitting in my no-longer horded room.

I’m highly considering wearing the waist trainer to the gym (which I haven’t hit in a while so I’m looking forward to going back)

Today is the 44th Anniversary of the Birth of Hip-Hop !!!

I just want to say what a great accomplishment that is for us all.

Feels like the modern-day version of the Jazz Age, since Hip Hop is one of the greatest forms of musical expression.

Anyways I’m still trying to get the hang of this blog situation so ’til then I’ll be posting shorter versions of things I tend to think/talk about.

They’ll be short because I tend to lose focus if I read paragraphs that seem like they’re a thousand pages long.
